Sherwin-Williams has announced the 2021 Color of the Year: SW-7048 Urbane Bronze. While generally thinking of the color bronze, I imagine brown and/or gold. This bronze is almost the opposite – a deep, warm gray, reminding me of clay. Looking up “urbane” in the dictionary, I find the definition includes “refined”. So……..a refined, solid color.
While Urbane Bronze can be used to paint walls, doors, cabinets, or furniture, I will tend to approach it as an accent color because I think a little will go a long way. Stunning on your front door.

We prefer Sherwin-Williams paint because we think it’s a really good value–not necessarily the cheapest. Our painters love it because it covers well in 1-2 coats. It touches up well, too! We can find it in multiple stores – of course, the stand-alone Sherwin-Williams stores (two in Mooresville), but also Lowe’s Home Improvement. And Sherwin-Williams has regional product specialists, who are happy to assist in choosing colors for a particular house plan, or coordinating colors — or meeting with clients that can’t make up their mind. Color is what they do.
